Well, 2020 was something else but 2021 feels like it's on track for a more positive experience. I feel it in my gut somehow. Maybe it's because I am personally inspired and feel so grateful for my new opportunities of living a new lifestyle I once thought I could only dream of; livin' the life on Vancouver Island! This lifestyle provides me with so many incredible nature photo opportunities that I have been inspired to make this new change for some time now. The landscape here on the island in exhilarating; rainforests, coastal ocean scenes, mountains! All places that help me vibe and help me thrive; this is where the magic happens.
Due to the way I thrive in nature, I am compelled to take this business to the next level. It wasn't until recently (the last 2 years or so) that I discovered Forest Therapy and as soon as I discovered it, I knew I had to learn more because it totally resonated with me. After learning more and going on a guided walk in Edmonton, I started researching opportunities to become a guide. There are many options out there; some cost a lot more than others and take a lot more time, some are shorter and less expensive but there is no shortage of options. The choice to add this to my photography business felt normal and effortless. After going on my first walk, I felt inspired because I had the opportunity to really slow down, tune in to my surroundings and take it all in with full appreciation. This is when I start finding magical nature scenes that I later photograph from my inspired walk.
Since I just moved to Ladysmith on New Year's Eve, I'm still settling in and trying to get this whole things on the ground so for now, that is my focus. Well, that and finding new cool places to photograph. All this to say that the forest therapy guide training is still in the works. I have yet to register for a program and to implement therapeutic nature walks to my services but it's coming and I can't wait for you to follow me along my journey of nature mindfulness!
*Photos from my cellphone so not top quality but still good enough to show the beauty around the island - and these were all taken within a 10 minute range. ;)
Now, onto the NEW BRAND part - it's coming soon so please stay tuned! Little details are being finalized now and more will be shared shortly. Thanks for watching and thanks for your patience as I transition from old to new. I look forward to growth and to sharing my journey with you.
