Sharing my recent wellness retreat photography; merging my passion for photography with personal growth and balance.
Outside of Photography and Forest Bathing, I also host wellness retreats with my best friend via Rooted Wellness Retreats. Our last event was held in such a beautiful venue, I was excited to both host the event and photograph the space. We had an opportunity to spend the night on-site the evening before the event which allowed me to capture photos of the space before our guests arrived and with ample time to enjoy the property's serenity as well. Check out the post below with all the details and be sure to check out all the images to gain an understanding of how beautiful this property really is!
The evening before the retreat
The night before our retreat via Rooted Wellness Retreat at Rising Moon Studio, we arrived around 4pm to settle in before I started taking mindful photos on the property. Everywhere we went, at every corner we turned there was beauty to be seen. From the lush and abundant property, to the outdoor shower and washroom at the tiny cabin to the glamping tent and the impeccable details inside the retreat space itself; I was in awe! This place would be easy to photograph, I thought to myself...and it was!
After taking both interior and exterior photos, it was time to head to the Tiny Cabin for a restful evening before the big retreat day the next morning. As the sun set, we took some time for a hot tub to relax before sleep, appreciating the fresh air on our faces amidst the warm tub and cozy company. We also spotted a beautiful crescent moon in the distance; appropriate sighting for the time and place. All in all, a comfortable night stay in the Tiny Cabin.
Retreat Day
The next day, we held our Fall Equinox retreat with beautiful women who came to learn, grow and be vulnerable with one another. The interior spaces were so bright, inviting and intimate, we were truly grateful to be able to host our event in such a carefully decorated space open to groups leading various mindful experiences.
We also practiced some Forest Bathing as the property had ample green spaces to walk around and appreciate. We were able to watch and listen to the leaves rustling in the wind, some took time to lay in the grass and immerse completely, while other sat in contemplation or had private, intimate moments with trees. What a magical land to explore, especially amidst the changing colours of the leaves while the season gently transitioned into autumn.
We ended our day with some time in the hot tub followed by a cold dip! It was so lovely to experience this at the end of the retreat; a great way to cap things off and bid adieu to another beautiful retreat with fellow gorgeous human beings. Gratitude to all!
